Two acquisitions editors from Utah State University Press will be on campus Feb. 23 from 3-5 p.m. to present "How to Publish with a University Press: Everything You Need to Know from Draft to Contract." The workshop will be held in REND A&B. Join them for an in-depth and informative discussion of the university press book publishing process, which will be of use to both novice and seasoned academic authors. Issues to be addressed include: Differences between university presses and academic for-profit presses (such as Routledge, Palgrave, and Brill); book proposals; the peer review process; contracts; and marketing. The editors will also schedule one-on-one meetings with faculty members interested in discussing specific projects which might be of interest to USU press, or to provide perspective on specific questions about the book process more generally.
