32nd annual Bellon Visiting Author Series to feature award-winning author Kashmira Sheth March 5-7

POCATELLO – Idaho State University College of Education and The Southeast Idaho Reading Council will host the 32nd Bellon Visiting Author Series March 5-7 with featured author/illustrator Kashmira Sheth.
Drs. Jerry and Elner Bellon created the Bellon Visiting Author Series Endowment to sustain efforts in the College of Education to bring award winning authors to Southeast Idaho.
The goal of the Visiting Author Conference is to provide a venue for students and faculty in the College of Education, and children, teachers and patrons of the public library the opportunity to listen to award-winning authors who focus on diversity.
Sheth spent her youth in India. She traveled to the United States when she was a teenager to attend college in Ames, Iowa. She attended graduate school in Madison, Wisconsin. She is the author of several picture books including, Tiger in My Soup and Sona and the Wedding Game. She has written books for older readers including, Boys Without Names and Keeping Corner.
Sheth will be vising Pocatello Community Charter School, Lewis Clark Elementary and Chubbuck Elementary schools to share her work with local students.
Public performances will be held on:
- March 5 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Marshal Public Library
- March 6 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the College of Education on the ISU Pocatello Campus
- March 7 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Portneuf District Library
A book signing will be held at the event on March 7 from 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
