ISU Diversity Resource Center to host Diversity Brown Bags in September

POCATELLO – Idaho State University’s Diversity Resource Center will host Diversity Brown Bags on Sept. 5, 6, and 11. Students are invited to come listen to presentations and share a lunch.
Upcoming sessions are:
• Discussing Implicit Bias – Sept. 5 at 2 p.m.: James Stoutenborough from ISU’s Political Science Department and Jacob Berger from ISU’s Philosophy Department will talk about implicit bias.
• Dealing with Culture Shock – Sept. 6 at noon: The Diversity Resource Center and ISU Department of Counseling and Testing will talk about coping with culture shock. Dr. Jennifer Miesch and Sheryl Yee will cover this topic.
• Diversity and Inclusion: What is it and Why it Matters – Sept. 11 from noon-1 p.m.: Stacey Gibson will cover the importance of diversity and inclusion in this session.
The Diversity Resource Center is open to all students, faculty and staff. They are committed to promoting diversity events on campus and throughout the community.
