Phrozen Physics Demonstration Set Aug. 5

The Idaho State University physics program and the Pine Ridge Mall will host a “phrozen physics” demonstration in front of Gillie’s Food Stop Aug. 5 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The demonstration will show how liquid and solid nitrogen can create ice cream. This event is free and open to the public. This is an opportunity for families to see what liquid nitrogen is capable of.

There will also be a hands-on science exhibit that will feature liquid and solid nitrogen, a vacuum chamber, bog bubbles, and a plasma tube. There will be free ice cream for kids made in minutes created with the liquid nitrogen.

For more information about the event contact Steve Shropshire at (208) 282-2212 or shrostev@isu.edu.
