Idaho State University art department to host fourth annual Art a la Carte event on Feb. 16
Idaho State University’s Department of Art will hold its fourth annual Art a la Carte event on Feb. 16 from 5 to 8 p.m. to help raise money for scholarships and visiting artists. The event includes a chili dinner and silent art auction.
The main event’s silent auction will allow participants to bid on art made by students, professors and alumni. Items being auctioned off include jewelry, prints, sculptures, paintings, ceramics, wearables, textile artwork and more. This year's auction also features a series of unique altered furniture objects.
There will also be art demonstrations going on in studios, including printmaking and ceramics.
The event will be held in ISU’s Fine Arts Building #11 on the fourth floor on the Pocatello campus. The chili dinner costs $6 for a bowl of chili, or three samples, including a drink and cornbread. Attending the silent auction and art demonstrations is free.
