Jasun Carr Elected Head of the Political Communication Interest Group
Dr. Jasun Carr, assistant professor in the Department of Communication, Media & Persuasion, was elected Head of Political Communication Interest Group, the largest interest group within the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication, during the AEJMC Annual Conference. As Head, he will oversee the development of Teaching and Professional Freedom & Responsibility programs, assist in the planning of the Annual AEJMC conference, and coordinate the efforts of the PCIG leadership team. Dr. Carr also presented a research paper titled "Even a Celebrity Journalist Can't Have an Opinion: Post-Millennials' Recognition and Evaluation of Journalists and News Brands on Twitter" and was an invited panelist for a session focused on “Recruiting and Attracting Undergraduates to Methods Coursework.”
