Idaho Academy of Science and Engineering annual meeting, Intermountain Conference on the Environment set March 31-April 2 at ISU

POCATELLO- The 58th Idaho Academy of Science and Engineering Annual Meeting and Symposium will meet jointly with the 16th Intermountain Conference on the Environment March 31-April 2 at the Idaho State University Pond Student Union.
The theme is “Pursuing New Knowledge Frontiers.”
Every year, the academy provides a multi-day symposium hosted by one of the member institutions. Speakers address issues of current interest. Researchers and students present papers and posters on a wide variety of scientific and technological topics. <!--more-->
Abstracts of papers and posters accepted for presentation are published in the online, open-source, peer-reviewed, abstracted, and referenced Journal of the Idaho Academy of Science and Engineering. Field trips, exhibits and spontaneous discussions at social functions are part of the broad spectrum of symposium activities.
Potential session topics include, biomedical sciences, infectious disease, ecology and the environment, geology sciences, chemical sciences, mathematics, computer sciences, material sciences, STEM education and student presentations.

• 6 p.m. – Tour of Idaho Museum of Natural History (open to public)
• 7:30 p.m. – Reception
Friday, April 1
• 8:30 a.m. – Opening address and keynote
• 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. – Mini-symposia
4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. – Poster session
7 p.m. – Banquet
Saturday, April 2
• 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. – Executive committee meeting
• 10:30 a.m. to noon – Annual business meeting
