CALL FOR NOMINATIONS- Professional Achievement Awards-2017

Nominations are being requested for Professional Achievement Awards that are presented to alumni of Idaho State University in recognition of significant professional achievement in a specific field or endeavor each year at Commencement.  Nominees for the Professional Achievement Award must have been out of school at least 10 years and have excelled in their chosen field attaining significant success and accomplishments.

To be considered for this prestigious award, alumni will have made important contributions to their careers or profession, to the social, political or economic well-being of the world around them and have shown continued community and civic involvement in addition to their association with and contributions to Idaho State University.

All nominations are to be sent directly to the dean/director of each college or unit. Each college/unit selects their award recipient under the direction of the Dean.  The Office of Alumni Relations sponsors this program and presents it in partnership with Idaho State University academic colleges and units.

Nomination forms and guidelines can be found at www.isu.edu/alumni/professional-award.shtml and can also be obtained in each Dean’s office or from the Office of Alumni Relations. All nomination forms, biographical and supporting documentation and letters of support must be received by the college/unit by January 20, 2017 to be considered for selection.

Twelve award recipients will be selected for 2017 as follows:
College of Arts & Letters- two awards
    (1) Fine Arts & Humanities
    (2) Social & Behavioral Sciences
College of Science & Engineering- two awards
    (1) Natural & Physical Sciences
    (2) Engineering
Division of Health Sciences- two awards
    (1) Health Sciences
    (2) School of Nursing
College of Pharmacy
College of Business
College of Education
College of Technology

Graduate School- two awards

(1)   Master’s graduate

(2)   Doctoral graduate

Each award recipient will be honored by their college/unit at their year-end recognition events and will lead the processional of graduates with their college/unit at Commencement.
