Regional universities including Idaho State University take part in national cyber competition at INL

For the first time, Idaho National Laboratory will host six university teams from across the region, including Idaho State University, taking part in a national cybersecurity competition, according to an Idaho National Laboratory news release.

Petroleum Experts donate MOVE software worth nearly $1 million to Idaho State University geosciences department

POCATELLO – Petroleum Experts Limited has donated the equivalent of $980,000 in oil and gas software for use by the Idaho State University Department of Geosciences. The software will be used by ISU researchers working on a National Science Foundation Grant and for teaching of advanced graduate-level geosciences courses.

POCATELLO – Caleb Renner, a junior in the Idaho State University Honors Program, earned a summer internship at the NASA Ames Research Center in California to work on his project titled “Porosity and Permeability of Basaltic Rocks and their Alteration States: Implications for the Habitability of Microbial Life in Volcanic Rocks on Earth and Mars.”

MOSCOW, Idaho – The University of Idaho will share a $20 million award from the National Science Foundation (NSF) with Idaho State University and Boise State University to support research aimed at uncovering and predicting how rainbow trout and sagebrush adjust to changing environments.
