You’re Invited: Leading Authority on Loneliness in the Workplace to Present in College of Business Class

As the workplace continues to change, the enormous challenges associated with employee loneliness in remote work remains a major concern. On February 12 at 6:15 p.m., Dr. Alex Bolinger's Leading Remote Work class with be joined virtually by Dr. Sarah Wright, a leading authority on loneliness in the workplace.

"We are so excited that Dr. Sarah Wright will be speaking to our class,” said Dr. Bolinger. Dr. Wright has been studying loneliness in the workplace for two decades, long before the challenges created by the pandemic, and it is a unique opportunity for our ISU students to hear from one of the world's foremost experts on this important topic."

"I can't emphasize enough what a big deal it is that Dr. Wright's research was featured in the lead article in the Harvard Business Review's (HBR) November/December 2024 issue,” said Dr. Bolinger. “HBR focuses on the issues that are most timely and most challenging for practicing managers worldwide. Loneliness - of employees, but also of leaders - has become one of the grand challenges of our time for not only organizations, but also society."
