Save the Date: Years of Service Recognition for Faculty and Staff

Save the Date for ISU's Employee Appreciation Week, to be held March 31 to April 4, 2025. This is an opportunity to celebrate our faculty and staff for their hard work and contributions to our campus community. Traditionally, this week has included a mix of virtual and in-person events such as workshops, Be a Bengal awards reception and fun activities. More information will be shared later this spring regarding schedules and events planned for the week.

This year, as part of Employee Appreciation Week, we are also excited to announce that ISU will be hosting our first-ever employee years of service recognition reception, which will recognize both staff and faculty years of service honorees who are achieving important milestones (5, 10, 15, 20, etc.) in 2025. 

This open-house style event will be hosted in these ISU locations. The entire campus community is invited to attend this event to celebrate our 2025 honorees!  

• Meridian: Tuesday, April 1, 2 - 4 p.m.
• Pocatello: Thursday, April 3, 3 - 5 p.m.
• Idaho Falls: Friday, April 4, 2 - 4 p.m.
• Twin Falls and Anchorage: date and time to be finalized and announced soon

This new event is a collaborative effort being planned and supported by members of the President’s Office, Staff Council, Faculty Senate, Academic Affairs, Human Resources, and Finance.  

What we need from you:

This list below includes employees who will be recognized in 2025 for their respective years of service. For this recognition your ISU employee anniversary date must be on or before July 1, 2025. If your ISU employee anniversary is after this date, you will be on the list for the 2026 recognition event. Individuals included on this list will be invited as honorees to this year’s inaugural event. 

• If your name appears on this honoree list, you are accurately being recognized in the correct year, and your preferred name for your honoree badge and certificate is correct, nothing additional is needed at this time.
• If your name appears on this list, but your years of service seem incorrect, or you wish to communicate an alternative preferred name for your honoree badge and certificate, please complete this form: Years of Service Recognition Response Form
• If your name doesn’t appear on the list as an honoree and you believe you are reaching a milestone anniversary before July 1, 2025 and should be recognized this year, please complete this form: Years of Service Recognition Response Form

Since this is the first year that both faculty and staff are being formally recognized for achieving service milestones, we acknowledge that many faculty members have reached these milestones in previous years. It is our intent for this University event to continue honoring both faculty and staff in the years to come, and we look forward to celebrating with all who achieve these milestones in the future. In the meantime, if you are a faculty member who would have received a milestone year (5, 10, 15, etc.) in a previous year, and you wish to receive either a printed or digital copy of your certificate, please complete this form, and we will prepare one for you. Special request for faculty and staff 25 years or more:

As part of this new initiative, our intent in the coming years is to develop a special designation for faculty and staff who have been ISU employees serving for 25 years or more through the launch of a special group. This recognition will be highlighted during the University’s 125-year celebration. 

Faculty and staff who have reached this milestone (25 years of employee service at ISU) in 2025 or any previous year who are interested in being included in this recognized designation are asked to register and fill out this survey: 25+ Years of Service Response Form
