Idaho State University Flute Studio Hosts “Flute Day” with Guest Artist Nicole Riner

The Idaho State University Flute Studio is thrilled to announce the upcoming “Flute Day” on Saturday, March 15, 2025.

Aspiring and experienced flutists are invited to join us for a day filled with music, learning, and fun featuring renowned guest artist Nicole Riner. 

Flutists of all ages and skill levels are welcome to participate in this exciting event, and admission is completely free, making it an excellent opportunity for musicians to enhance their skills and connect with fellow flutists in the community. 

Event Details:

Date: Saturday, March 15, 2025 
Location: Goranson Recital Hall, Fine Arts Building, Idaho State University 
Admission: Free 

Flute Day Schedule: 

9:30 - 10:50 a.m.: Masterclass with Nicole Riner 
11 a.m. - 12 p.m. Flute ensemble rehearsal with all Flute Day participants 
12 - 1 p.m.: Lunch Break 
1 - 2:45 p.m.: “360⁰ Flutist” Workshop with Nicole Riner 
3:30 - 4 p.m.:  Warm-up for flute ensembles and recital preparation 
4 - 5:30 p.m.: Recital featuring performances by Nicole Riner, local flute ensembles, and a grand finale featuring the 2025 Flute Day Flute Ensemble with Nicole as the soloist 

Throughout the day, participants will have the unique opportunity to try new flutes from ProFlutes and connect with representatives from the Idaho National Guard. Join us for this enriching experience that promises to inspire and energize flutists from all walks of life.
