Idaho State University is pleased to announce the opening of the new Bengal Success Center, a hub for student and faculty resources designed to foster academic success.

A Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening celebration for the new center was held on Thursday, March 13.

“The Bengal Success Center represents a comprehensive approach to educational support services by bringing together many support programs for all students and instructors under one roof,” said ISU’s Director of Teaching, Learning, and Assessment Doug McGee. “This centralized model enhances accessibility and promotes student educational success through coordinated services designed for students, along with dedicated resources for faculty support in teaching, learning and assessment.”

In addition to personalized academic support for all students, the Bengal Success Center houses a number of specialized programs, such as University Tutoring, Bengal Bridge, University Honors, the Intensive English Institute, TRIO, High School Equivalency Program (HEP), and College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP). Services are available for students at all of ISU’s campuses in Meridian, Idaho Falls and Twin Falls, with a centralized office in Pocatello.

"At ISU, we believe strongly that creating a welcoming environment where every student can thrive is fundamental to our mission," said President Robert Wagner. "I’m excited to see the Bengal Success Center open, as it will play a key role in supporting academic success for all ISU students by providing tailored academic support, fostering connections across our campus and ensuring students have the resources they need to meet their academic goals."

Addressing the students at Idaho State University, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Adam Bradford said, “Without you, we have little, if any reason to exist as an institution. You are our reason for being. Our teaching and research missions are given meaning, purpose and vitality through your desire to learn, grow and to catalyze otherwise unrealized personal potential for the benefit of yourselves, your families and your community. This center is a testament of our commitment to do all we can to support you in realizing your hopes for yourself and your life. Thank you for letting us be part of your remarkable journey.”

In addition to serving all students throughout their entire educational journey, the Bengal Success Center will house the new Center for Learning and Instructional Excellence. This center will provide enhanced opportunities and training for faculty professional development, with a focus on promoting excellence in both student learning and faculty teaching.

“The Bengal Success Center is pivotal for academic growth, offering professional development for faculty and ensuring that all students have access to the tools they need to succeed throughout their educational journey at ISU,” McGee said.
