Animation Industry Leader Eric Anderson to Join ISU for Exclusive Virtual Guest Lecture
March 13, 2025
The Idaho State University Department of Art is thrilled to welcome Eric Anderson, senior animator at Epic Games and former artist at Pixar, Disney, and Blue Sky Studios, for an exclusive virtual guest lecture. The event will take place on Wednesday, April 2, 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. via Zoom, with an in-person viewing session available in Room 401 of the Fine Arts Building.
Anderson, whose impressive career spans over a decade in the animation industry, has contributed to major films including Inside Out 2, Elemental, Lightyear, and Encanto. His experience in feature animation, pre-production, leadership, and game art/animation provides a unique opportunity for students and the local community to gain insights into the world of animation from an industry leader.
The lecture will be followed by a Q&A session, offering attendees the chance to engage with Anderson and learn more about the animation field, career pathways, and the creative process behind some of Hollywood’s biggest animated productions.
“This is an exciting opportunity for our students and community members to hear directly from a top industry professional,” said Rachelle Cooper, visiting assistant professor in the Department of Art. “Eric’s experience working with some of the most well-known animation studios in the world will provide invaluable knowledge for aspiring animators and artists.”
The event is free and open to the public. The Zoom link will be shared broadly before the event to ensure accessibility for all attendees.
