Admissions & Recruitment January Update

The new year always brings anticipation and excitement for our Admissions team. Fresh off the holiday break, our team hit the ground running by traveling to 34 high schools for visits, hosting 71 individual tours and one campus group tour. Additionally, our Admissions and Recruitment Coordinators attended one college fair and the East Idaho Home Educators Conference, where they spoke to prospective incoming first-year students about the many opportunities ISU has to offer.  

Events are also back in full swing, and we enjoyed hosting Rugir Con ISU in Idaho Falls, Pocatello, and Twin Falls for the third year. This event is designed for Hispanic/Latino students and their families to learn more about ISU but is open to any interested students. Fifteen students were awarded $1,000 scholarships between the three events. Congratulations to those deserving students! You can find additional information in the breakdown below. 

Starting in February and continuing through late March, our recruitment coordinators will participate in the IACRAO Spring 2025 Higher Education Tour. During this tour, they will travel across the state to meet with students interested in ISU. February kicks off in the Treasure Valley, then to the Magic Valley, and ends in Southeast and Northern Idaho in March.
