Workshop: Thrive, Define Self-Worth and Cultivate Empowerment
March 7, 2024
March 12, 5-7 p.m.
In this empowering presentation featuring Rebecca A. Arthur, CHt and offered by the ISU Gender Resource Center, we will delve into essential tools to help you thrive by understanding yourself better and how to have healthier relationships. We will talk about why boundaries are difficult but fundamentally important for healthy lifestyles, how to cultivate self-worth and self-love to feel empowered and to reduce guilt when setting boundaries, and how to discern where your relationships need boundaries. Participants will reflect on real-life examples, learn tools to help them cultivate greater self-worth, learn communication strategies for healthier relationships, and participate in a guided meditation to increase confidence and reduce guilt when setting boundaries. We will also have a breakout session in which participants can explore their values and their vision of who they are becoming. By the end of this session, attendees will be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to set healthy boundaries effectively and to have deeper, more authentic, more meaningful relationships.
