Volunteers Needed for Hispanic Youth Leadership Summit

July 18, 2024

The fourth annual Hispanic Youth Leadership Summit (HYLS) will be hosted on campus on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Idaho State University and the College of Eastern Idaho are proud to join the Idaho Commission on Hispanic Affairs once again in welcoming students to our campus.

During the event, students in grades 7-12 will engage in exciting activities, such as attending STEM-related sessions, working on enhancing their leadership skills, talking with employers in our community, applying for scholarships, and getting an overall sense of how college might fit into their future plans.

As current members of our amazing Bengal community, you have the greatest influence on helping a future generation of students find their passion and the path that is right for them.

HYLS is a great opportunity to create those connections and show students the importance of education and how they can achieve their career goals. Volunteer duties include being leaders of student groups, directing and guiding students around campus, and more.

Please consider volunteering your time to participate in this exciting event! The deadline to RSVP is Friday, September 6.

We are so appreciative of all your support and time dedicated to giving students an interactive and exciting experience at ISU.
