April 25, 2024
Eleven graduate students in the School of Nursing recently presented at the Western Institute of Nursing conference in Salt Lake City. The theme for this year's event is Health and Equity in Changing Environmental and Social Climates. The conference is a long-standing tradition in the west, has been offered continuously since 1968, and is the oldest conference of its kind in the United States. Three PhD in nursing students and eight Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) students presented. Of these, one PhD student, Amy Blankenship, and one DNP student, Garrett Hair, had peer reviewed posters. Both of these students will be graduating this semester. The remainder of the students presented at the conference's Research and Information Exchange. This was the largest attendance by Idaho State University of student scholarship presentations in the past 10 years.
