Public Safety to Offer Monthly Trainings

Starting in July, the Department of Public Safety will begin hosting monthly safety-related training opportunities for faculty and staff on the Pocatello campus. Training will be held on the second Thursday of each month in the Pond Student Union Building, Portneuf Room, beginning at 9 a.m.

These trainings help employees navigate critical emergencies where a calm and timely response is crucial to protecting our campus community.

Please fill out the training sign-up sheet for one of the training sessions below.  

July 11: Active Shooter  9 - 9:45 a.m.  or 10 - 10:45 a.m.

August 8  Incident Management Training 9 -11 a.m.

Sept 12  Active Shooter 9 - 9:45 a.m., Campus Emergencies 101 10- 11 a.m.

Oct 10  Verbal De-Escalation  9 - 10:30 a.m.

Nov 14  Life Safety Leadership 9 - 11 a.m.

Dec 12  Active Shooter  9- 9:45 a.m.,Campus Emergencies 101  10-11 a.m.

Additionally, Public Safety will work with the leadership team on the Idaho Falls and Meridian campuses to offer in-person training at those locations.
