Pocatello Mayor Blad Affirms Students' Request to Sign Proclamation

Two ISU undergraduate nutrition majors, accompanied by Clinical Associate Professor Jenifer Reader, MHE, RDN, LD, met with Mayor Brad Blad and the Pocatello City Council on Thursday, March 7, 2024. Students Breanna Evans and Ingrid Sandoval Mendoza reminded the Council that food is the substance by which life is sustained. They also noted that registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs) are the health professionals who translate the science of nutrition into individualized lifestyle options for consumers.

Mayor Blad declared that March 2024 was National Nutrition Month and March 13, 2024, was RDN Day. He also encouraged all citizens to become concerned about their nutrition to achieve optimum health.
