Part-Time Math Instructor Opening

The Adult Education Program is seeking a part-time math instructor for students in the Adult Education program, teaching students who are pursing their GED. The position is located on the campus of Idaho State University in Pocatello. The instructor will provide math-related instruction, support, and tutoring to students. Position is 5-6 hours per week and flexible in terms of the schedule. Class schedule can be set by instructor, as long as class is scheduled sometime between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. twice per week, during weekdays. Pay is $14-$15/hr. DOE.
Knowledge of and/or experience in teaching, supporting, or tutoring individuals in math-related curriculum is required, and the successful candidate must be willing to learn and work with the GED-related curriculum for math. Instructors must have the ability to connect well with students, communicate effectively and provide quality feedback. Must be able to understand and work with traditional and non-traditional learners as well as those who may have disabilities or other learning challenges.
