Library Instruction Materials Updates

The University Libraries create and update tutorials and YouTube videos to help students and researchers benefit from the library resources available and find quality information faster. Our ResearchPath Tutorial has been updated. If you have or would like to use this in one of your courses, you may ask for an mbz file to restore the current links and quizzes into your course. Please contact Spencer Jardine (jardspen@isu.edu) or the libinst@isu.edu email account.

Students who complete the quizzes with 8 out of 10 points can earn badges for each of the modules. Once all of the modules have been completed with an acceptable score, a metabadge is awarded indicating that a student has completed the tutorial. Students may show the badge to their instructors as evidence that they have completed the tutorial satisfactorily. Instructors may choose to accept the badge or not.

The content has remained the same, so the quiz questions have not been altered. The previous quizzes will still work with this newer version of the tutorial. 

The OneSearch interface has also changed. It still searches the majority of the library's databases, including the library catalog. It just has a new look and feel. Developers conducted user testing to make changes that have improved the search experience. See how the new interface works with our Finding Scholarly Articles video.
