Best Paper Award won by ISU professor Dr. Minhaz Zibran*

ISU Computer Science Associate Professor Dr. Minhaz Zibran has been awarded  one of the three Best Paper Awards at the International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Pattern Recognition (ISPR) held in Istanbul, Turkey from June 26 to June 28, 2024. The award-winning paper is entitled, "Revolutionizing Crop Leaf Disease Detection: A Novel Ensemble Learning Framework Using Customized EfficientNets." Dr. Zibran co-authored the paper with his collaborator overseas and presented it at the conference. The paper introduces a new transfer learning approach for the automatic detection of crop diseases by analyzing crop leaf images. A preprint of the publication is available on Dr. Zibran's website.
