Windows 10 Heads Up

Microsoft has announced they will no longer support or provide security updates for Windows 10 starting in October 2025. All employee work PCs will need to be upgraded to run Windows 11 (or later versions) before October next year, or they will not be allowed to connect to our network.  

You may be contacted in the next few weeks as we update inventory lists in preparation for this upgrade requirement. We are aware that some older machines currently in use cannot run Windows 11, which may mean they will need to be replaced. ITS is working with the Purchasing Office to secure special vendor pricing for those facing this situation.  

We urge you not to purchase any new PCs during the next month or so as we finish our inventory and negotiations. We plan to have both completed by October 15 of this year.  Keep an eye out for additional information about Windows’ upgrade requirement as we coordinate this effort.
