Provost Search Update

Co-Chairs for the ISU Provost Search Committee Dean Shane Hunt and Dr. Fredi Giesler would like to provide the campus community with an update on the search:

• The search committee is currently reviewing 61 applications with the assistance of Summit Search Solutions. The committee will meet on Friday, October 4 to determine the semi-finalists who will be interviewed via zoom in October, 2024. The final candidates will be invited to campus in January 2025. 
• There are 22 candidates that are rated as very well qualified and 32 candidates who are rated as qualified. There are 7 candidates who do not meet the minimum qualifications for the position.
• We have convened an inclusive and representative search committee to review these applications and participate in the video conference interviews. In concert with Summit Search Solutions, we have created rating tools and standard interview questions to guide this process.
• All faculty will have an opportunity to be involved in the on-campus interviews as well as share feedback on each candidate with the President before he makes a final decision.
