ISU Meridian Students Facilitate Community Education & Connection

September 12, 2024

A group of Meridian Bengals in the graduate speech-language pathology program partnered with stroke coordinators at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center to lead their September stroke support group.

The six students tailored the interaction around activities of daily life that support neuroplasticity. Attendees enjoyed learning about new ways to support brain health.

"We all had so much fun doing this," reported Jennifer Currier, SLP second-year graduate student.

The SLP program would like to congratulate students Jennifer Currier, Gabby LaLanne, Savanna Kyser, Kate Erekson, DeLaynie Dorsey, and Tori Senglemann on their philanthropic efforts to help the local stroke community.
