GrackleDocs: Free Accessibility Tool for Google Docs

Idaho State University faculty and staff have free access to GrackleDocs, a browser tool that is used to check the accessibility of Google Documents and Sheets. Document accessibility is required by Idaho State University policy and federal law. Grackle is a useful tool that can help users make their documents accessible.

To add Grackle Docs to your browser:

• Open a Google Document or Slide
• Under “Extensions” select “Add-ons”
• Search for Grackle Docs
• Add Grackle Docs to Google Docs

To run Grackle Docs:

• Under the “Extensions” tab, launch “Grackle Docs”
• Review the accessibility check information
