College of Education Professor Publishes New Book

Dr. Robin Lindbeck, Professor of Human Resource Development at Idaho State University, recently published a new resource titled Workplace Leadership. In today's society, where leadership skills are essential, this new textbook serves as a practical guide to providing critical leadership skills. 

Workplace Leadership is currently being used in Lindbeck’s fall classes with the goal of equipping students in the ISU Human Resource Development program, and learners nationwide, with the competencies necessary for effective leadership through information sharing and practice. This book is structured into four sections: an introduction to leadership, leading oneself, leading others, and leading organizations. It also covers key leadership competencies such as coaching, communication, motivation, team efficacy, systems thinking, and organizational change.

This edited textbook features different authors for each chapter, including leaders from a variety of backgrounds and six authors fromIdaho State University, including College of Education Drs. Ajit Bhattarai, Tracy Gibson, Rob Lion, Wendy Ruchti, Robin Lindbeck, and Dr. Tracy Collum, Interim Dean of the ISU Graduate School.

Edited by Dr. Robin Lindbeck and Dr. Vince Nix, Workplace Leadership is published by Cognella Academic Publishing and is available on both Amazon and the Cognella website.
