College of Education Donates $15,000 of STEM Equipment to the Boys & Girls Club

September 30, 2024

The College of Education recently served as the golden sponsor for the Boys & Girls Club Gala, where we announced an additional $15,000 donation for STEM equipment for students in our community.

This contribution was made possible by a $48,800 grant from the Idaho STEM Action Center, which enabled over 100 elementary students to participate in the College of Education's annual K-5 STEM camp. The College of Education reinvested the remaining $15,000 from the grant to support our partners at the Boys & Girls Club.

This donation will provide even more students with the opportunity to engage in diverse STEM activities. For 150 years, Boys & Girls Clubs have been at the forefront of youth development during out-of-school hours. With over 4,100 Clubs nationwide, they serve nearly 4 million kids through transformative after-school and summer programs.
