Calling All Students: Nominate Outstanding ISU Faculty for the 2025 Distinguished Faculty Awards

Here’s your chance to recognize the amazing ISU faculty members who inspire, mentor, and make a difference in your education and community. Submit nominations for the Distinguished Teacher Award and the Distinguished Service Award by 5:00 PM on Friday, January 17, 2025. Award winners will be celebrated at a special reception in April and honored at the 2025 Commencement ceremony.  

Distinguished Teacher Award  

This award recognizes faculty who go above and beyond in teaching. They spark curiosity, create supportive learning environments, and use innovative methods that lead to deep understanding. These teachers are mentors, role models, and champions of student success.  

Eligibility: 

- Full-time ISU faculty in their third (or later) year of service.  

- Must continue as faculty during the 2025-2026 academic year.  

Who can nominate: ISU students, faculty, staff, and alumni.  

Distinguished Service Award 

This award celebrates faculty members who have made outstanding contributions to the university and community through service. This could include leadership roles, community outreach, mentorship, and initiatives that improve campus life or strengthen programs.  

Eligibility: 

- Full-time ISU faculty in their third (or later) year of service.  

- Must continue as faculty during the 2025-2026 academic year.  

Note: Only service contributions should be considered. Teaching and research are not part of this award.  

Who can nominate: ISU faculty, administration, and the public.
