Book Bundle Reminder

Last Spring ASISU endorsed our new textbook adoption model, the “ISU Book Bundle” which reduces textbook costs for our students.  This was a significant priority for ASISU leadership.  However, in order for this model to work and for students to be able to realize the cost savings they are seeking, the materials adoption deadline for your spring courses is October 1, 2024. Academic Affairs was just made aware of this deadline and apologize for the late reminder. Going forward, due dates are as follows:

For Fall Semester- May 1

For Summer Semester- March 1

For Spring Semester- Oct 1

Academic Affairs and the bookstore are well aware of problems that arose during this semester with the book bundle. We are working to solve all the issues. Please email Laura Ahola-Young lauraaholayoung@isu.edu with concerns or issues that arose for you this semester so that we can help with next Spring.

In your requests for spring, please specify your preferred version of the adoption (i.e. if you want students to all get the digital version, then the "required" version listed would be the digital). The more information you give, the better and easier it is for the bookstore.

Also, if a title is marked as an "Old Edition" or "Out Of Print" it may be difficult for students to get copies. You will want to use the most recent edition of a title for students to be able to have easy access.  

Please know that there are no restrictions in the course materials you can select for your course, and the adoption process is not changing. All course materials, from any publisher and in your preferred format, are included in the program.  Use of OER materials is also allowed and encouraged by the institution.
