Admissions & Recruitment October Update

November 14, 2024

With National College Application Month in October, the Admissions Recruitment team traveled throughout six states to attend 57 college fairs. It cultivated new relationships with prospective and transfer students in Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington.  Furthermore, our team also attended 91 high schools and hosted 131 individual tours and 13 campus group tours. Additionally, we contacted over 183,000 students in the past month through email, text, and print communications.

While some team members were on the road, others hosted and participated in several events throughout Idaho. In addition to hosting HYLS in September, we attended both the University of Idaho and Boise State University’s HYLS in October. We also hosted Health Experience Night (HSEN) in Meridian, with 200 students in attendance. With a 100% satisfaction rate, this event continues to be an excellent way to showcase all our Health Science programs.

One of the most exciting parts of October was debuting our new event, Experience the Roar! In place of Experience ISU, our fall preview day, Experience the Roar, allowed us to take the ISU show on the road to reach more areas and showcase what ISU is all about. With four events this year in Idaho Falls, Meridian, Pocatello, and Twin Falls, we were excited to meet and have ISU programs engage with students around the region. Through these events, 127 campus tours were scheduled, and eight students applied to ISU.

We look forward to growing these events over the next few years. As always, these events would not have been possible without the help of ISU’s fantastic staff and faculty, who traveled to make them successful. Thank you!
