Recruitment Update

March 16, 2023

The month of February continued to be busy for Admissions as we kicked off Idaho’s Higher Education Tour. Our Treasure Valley team visited over 40 high schools throughout 2 weeks to meet with high school juniors and seniors to share all that Idaho State has to offer. During the months of March and April, our Admissions Team will be traveling to the remaining regions of the Higher Education Tour, visiting almost every single high school in the state.

In addition to Idaho’s Higher Education Tour, our Admissions Team attended 26 college fairs across the state of Idaho. The Recruitment team’s communications to both prospective and admitted students increased dramatically this month as we sent over 157,000 emails, 47,000 pieces of print mail, and 42,000 text messages. Our Admissions Advisors have also started their “Next Steps” phone calls to admitted students.

This month we also hosted our first-ever Rugir con ISU on the Idaho Falls campus. Rugir con ISU was an event geared towards our Latino/a/x students and families to provide more information about Idaho State University’s admissions process, departments, and resources. Idaho Central Credit Union originally planned to award two $1,000 scholarships but since it was such a great turnout, they awarded three $1,000 scholarships to three high school seniors!

We are continuing the excitement with events in the upcoming months and appreciate all of the fantastic support from our faculty and staff. In March and April, we will be hosting seven ISU Academic Signing Days throughout Southeast Idaho and the Treasure Valley area and Bengal Visit Day on April 22nd. If you are interested in volunteering for Bengal Visit Day, please sign up here.
