Open House Scheduled for New 3D Printing Lab

The Idaho State University community is invited to join the Department of Mechanical Engineering for an open house in the department’s new 3D Printing Laboratory Monday, June 5, at 3 p.m. in the Lillibridge Engineering Laboratory, Room 110.

The event will showcase the opportunities the laboratory provides for ISU students, local businesses and industries, as well as the community. The high-end 3D printers offer advanced capabilities and enable businesses to leverage the technology for rapid prototyping, product development, and customized manufacturing solutions. From basic materials such as ABS and PLA to advanced materials with strength comparable to aluminum, the printers cater to a wide array of industrial applications.
