Loom Video Recording Tool Now Available in Moodle

ISU is excited to announce a new recording functionality in Moodle ISU. The Instructional Technology Resource Center has integrated Loom into the Moodle HTML editor. Loom is a video recording tool that helps you instantly create shareable videos. With Loom, you can record your camera, microphone, and device’s screen simultaneously to create narrated presentations or how-to videos. Loom is free for educators and students. The newly added functionality allows users to:

• Record video directly from the Moodle HTML editor. (Note: Users without a Loom account are limited to 5 minutes to record whereas, users with a Free Loom Education account are extended to 45 minutes).
• Auto-embed Loom video when adding the URL.
• Watch an automated transcript/captions when watching a Loom video.
