Long-Sleeve T-Shirt Drive to Begin Next Week

March 20, 2023

The College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) at Idaho State is collaborating with AFOP Health & Safety Programs during National Farmworkers Awareness week to host a local long-sleeve shirt drive.

Donation drop boxes will be located in the CHE building on the Idaho Falls ISU campus and in the  Pond Student Union Building on the Pocatello ISU campus, and donations will be accepted from Saturday, March 25, to Monday, March 27.

Long-sleeve shirts help protect farmworkers from pesticide exposure and heat-related illnesses, and donated shirts should be in light colors and made with natural fabrics

National Farmworkers Awareness week provides an opportunity for farm worker supporters across the country to honor the important contributions of farm workers and to raise awareness about the challenges they face. For more information on how you can contribute to the drive or Farmworker Awareness Week, call (208) 282-1433 or email camp@isu.edu.
