Invitation for Faculty and Students to Participate in a Collaborative Clinical and Translational Scholarship Conference at Boise State University

January 29, 2023

Dear ISU Colleagues,

We were recently approached by associates from the College of Health Sciences at Boise State University (BSU) about participating in a Clinical and Translational Scholarship Conference to be held on the BSU campus on Friday March 3rd, 2023. We’ve been working collaboratively with BSU, and with several other institutions, in the planning of the conference and are excited to participate.

Thanks to BSU, ISU and other organization sponsorship, there is no cost to attend this event! Registration and poster abstract submission is open until February 10, 2023.

hile additional planning and programming pieces are still being put in place, we wanted to share information about conference registration information and to inquire specifically regarding interest from ISU faculty and students about participation with Interest Group and Symposia Sessions on various topics.

Any students or student groups who would like to attend, help and/or participate, are encouraged to be part of the conference!

Among a number of other topics (listed below) one significant part of the conference is focused on facilitating diversity and inclusion in clinical and translational research. Among other co- leading opportunities, we have an opportunity to include at least 2 associates from ISU on the main panel that will share experiences, ideas and lead discussions on the topic of facilitating diversity and inclusion in clinical and translational research; other opportunities to be involved with topic areas including aging, concussion/head injury, maternal health, big data and adolescent health, etc., are included below.

We’d love to have many associates from ISU participate!

Please review the information below, complete the Google form if interested in helping co-lead a session or request to be considered for travel funds and register/submit a poster abstract using the BSU link below. Please contact Dr. Chris Sanford, Associate Dean for Research and Faculty Development in the College of Health, with any questions; sanfchri@isu.edu / (208) 282-2196.

Sincerely,
