Webinar: Quality Matters 7th Edition Series: General Standard 4 - Instructional Materials
October 9, 2023
In 2012, the Quality Matters (QM) Rubric became an integral part of ISU’s approach to course design, followed by the creation of the Quality+ program in the Fall of 2017. This program remains dedicated to assisting faculty members in implementing evidence-based practices derived from the Quality Matters Rubric and its peer-review process in ISU courses. This fall, in our Wednesday Webinars, we are taking a closer look at each of the eight General Standards of the Revised Seventh Edition.
QM General Standard 4: Instructional Materials focuses on how the instructional materials effectively prepare students to meet the course objectives.
In this webinar, we will discuss 5 aspects to consider when creating or curating instructional materials. Those aspects include alignment with the course objectives; relationship to the learning activities and assessments; appropriate citing; timeliness of the represented theory and practice of the discipline; and the variety represented across all materials.
Join us on Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 2 p.m. for 20 minutes.
The ITRC Wednesday Webinars are a series of short, live Zoom training sessions. These webinars are available to all ISU campuses and locations. All ITRC Wednesday Webinars are recorded and uploaded to the ITRC Video Training Library for on-demand viewing access.
