Quality Matters 7th Edition Series: General Standard 2 — Learning Objectives

September 18, 2023

In 2012, ISU embraced the Quality Matters (QM) Rubric, marking the inception of the Quality+ program in the Fall of 2017. This program remains dedicated to assisting faculty members in implementing evidence-based practices derived from the Quality Matters Rubric and its model peer-review process in ISU courses. This Fall, in our Wednesday Webinars, we are going to be taking a closer look at each of the eight General Standards of the Revised Seventh Edition.

QM General Standard 2: Learning Objectives focuses on creating learning objectives that are measurable and appropriate at the course and module level, as well as clearly communicating these objectives to students.

In this webinar, we will discuss the Specific Review Standards for General Standard 2 of the QM Rubric. We will also provide tips for crafting measurable learning objectives, communicating them with your students, and ensuring that they are suited to the level of your course.

Topics to be Covered:

  • The purpose of the QM Rubric.
  • General Standard 2: Learning Objectives.
  • Specific Review Standards for General Standard 2.
  • Tips for crafting outcomes and communicating them with students.

Join us on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 2 p.m. for 20 minutes.
