Health Science Experience Night set for September 26 in Pocatello and October 17 in Meridian
September 5, 2023
All Idaho high school and college students are invited to Idaho State University’s Health Science Experience Nights, held at both the Pocatello and Meridian campuses.
Enjoy an evening of learning and fun as dozens of health professions programs showcase their offerings, with tours of the buildings and campus also available. The Health Science Experience Night events will be Tuesday, September 26, 4-7 p.m. in Pocatello and Tuesday, October 17, 5-7:30 p.m. in Meridian.
At both events, attendees can visit with ISU faculty and students from Meridian and Pocatello, participate in interactive demonstrations, and tour classrooms, simulation labs, and the state-of-the art Anatomy and Physiology Laboratories, equipped with 3D and virtual technology.
Students and their parents can engage with academic program representatives from nursing, pharmacy, physical therapy, physician assistant studies, speech-language pathology, counseling, medical laboratory science, homeland security and emergency management, respiratory therapy, and many more experts from Idaho's leader in health sciences education.
Human anatomy lessons will be provided for those ages 16 and older only. Written parental consent is required for minors (those under 18) who wish to participate in human anatomy lessons. Please print this HSEN Assumption of Risk Form, get a parent's signature, and bring it with you to the event.
“Health Science Experience Night is a wonderful opportunity for Idaho students to see the many health professions that ISU has to offer. They experience firsthand what professionals do in the field each day,” said ISU-Meridian Enrollment Services Director Ali Crane.
The Pocatello event will begin in the Education Building Auditorium, then building and campus tours will be available. The event will conclude in the Pond Student Union Building ballroom, 921 S. 8th Avenue, with prizes and interactive exhibits.
The Meridian event will offer all the same activities, and will be held inside the Sam and Aline Skaggs Health Science Center at ISU- Meridian, 1311 E. Central Drive.
Both events are free and all students are eligible for door prizes, ISU gear and promotional items. Early registration is greatly appreciated. Visit isu.edu/hsen to RSVP for either or both events.
Health Science Experience Night events are hosted by the Office of Admissions and the Kasiska Division of Health Sciences. All health related programs at ISU are invited to participate.
