Great Ideas in Teaching with Dr. Tyler Burch

Please join us for our second PIE Great Ideas in Teaching lecture of the academic year on Thursday October 5 from 3:30-4:30 p.m.  

This lecture will be hosted by Dr. Tyler Burch from the Department of Marketing and Management.  Burch’s presentation is entitled If It’s Broke, Fix It: Employing Ongoing, Creative Change when Teaching.  

In this presentation, Burch will discuss those challenging times in teaching when, for whatever reason, a topic we are teaching seems to fall flat with students. Burch will introduce and explore a simple but powerful process of approaching these failures as a challenge to reinvent our approach to the subject matter so that both instructors and students are intrinsically motivated, perhaps even excited, to engage in the topic.
