Great Ideas in Teaching with Dr. Marie Stango
September 18, 2023
All are invited to the first PIE Great Ideas in Teaching lecture of the academic year on Thursday Sept. 28 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. (MST).
This lecture will be presented by Dr. Marie Stango from the Department of History. Stango’s presentation is entitled The Joy of Surprise: Manageable "Unessay" Projects for Introductory-Level Courses, and will explore strategies for incorporating research projects into General Education and introductory-level courses by using the concept of "unessays.”
“Unessays” are research projects which require students to present information in a format of their choosing beyond a traditional essay. Meeting information and location will be posted on the PIE website soon.
