Healthy Relationship Series Features Three Workshops

The Idaho State University Gender Resource Center is offering three Healthy Relationship Series events in September. Faculty are invited to participate in the scheduled sessions or schedule a session for a class.

Social media can skew our view of the relationships around us and influence our decision to stay in unhealthy ones. This workshop explores 10 signs of an unhealthy relationship and is your go-to for educating about digital consent and social media. 

MVP: How to Overcome an Unhealthy Relationship for Men 

Wednesday, September 13, 3:30-4:30 p.m. via Zoom

This workshop is a product of the One Love Foundation, which is dedicated to improving relationship health. In the film presented during the workshop, Miles tries to balance his basketball life with the demands of a possessive female partner. Participants will view the film together and discuss the characteristics of healthy and unhealthy relationships.

Escalation is a compelling film and workshop that tells the story of an abusive relationship –– from its sweet beginnings to the tragic end. The authentic depiction of unhealthy behaviors escalating into violence helps you recognize and understand the early signs of relationship abuse.
