"ChatGPT/AI: Friend or Foe?" Presentation by Danny Leeming

The College of Education cordially invites you to join us for a presentation by Danny Leeming, a K-12 and university educator from British Columbia, who will discuss current uses of ChatGPT and other AI tools in the classroom. Danny will share details from personal experiences with AI, help to debunk myths surrounding AI, and provide the audience with strategies for using ChatGPT effectively in classrooms. Additionally, this presentation will discuss the shift in pedagogy and different approaches to working with AI tools as they become more abundant and powerful.

Danny will offer the workshop from noon to 2 p.m. in the Rendezvous Suites and lunch will be provided. The presentation will be repeated from 4-5 p.m. in the College of Education Building, Room 355 and refreshments will be served.
