Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association Wins Gold Honors

The National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA) has awarded the NSSLHA Chapter at Idaho State University-Meridian with 2022 Gold Chapter Honors. Efforts made by the NSSLHA-Meridian Chapter and others nationally helped: increase advocacy efforts by sending more than 6,500 letters to state and federal legislators, provide scholarships to students in CSD programs by contributing more than $25,000 to the ASHFoundation’s NSSLHA Scholarship, and support CSD-related organizations by donating more than $67,000 and approximately 26,000 hours of chapter members’ time.

"We are extremely proud of the efforts made by our students to achieve this honor several years running," said Meridian chapter co-advisor Jessi Hardy.
