Spring Commencement Will be Held at Holt Arena Amidst Construction
April 18, 2022
Graduates, Faculty, Staff, and Commencement Volunteers,
Pardon our dust! Holt Arena is undergoing a two-year, multi-million dollar renovation, but Idaho State’s Spring Commencement will still happen in the historic venue. Join us for two ceremonies on Saturday, May 7, at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Holt Arena is one of the most iconic buildings on the University’s campus, and it has been home to Idaho State commencement ceremonies for more than 50 years. We wanted to continue that tradition of students graduating under the dome, even in the midst of construction. We hope you can look beyond the unusual backdrop and share in our excitement of Idaho State's future.
Holt Arena is undergoing a large-scale renovation to upgrade the facility and improve the fan experience, fully funded by a generous investment from Idaho Central Credit Union. Upgrades include new seating, elevators, improvements to the entryways, enhanced accessibility, and more.
What does this renovation at Holt Arena mean for our commencement? Some things have changed from previous years, and we want you to be prepared for those changes.
Audience Members: Please enter Holt Arena from the south side. Entry will not be granted on the north side. Guests will need to park on the north side and walk along the west or east sides of Holt Arena to the south side entrance. While the bulk of parking is available on the north side of the arena, there is a limited amount of parking available on the south side on a first-come, first-served basis.
Graduates: Please enter through the northwest doors of the arena. You will proceed down the ramp to the floor for check-in.
Faculty: Please use the graduate entrance at the northwest doors and come down to the southwest corner of the floor.
