It was determined that this policy was trying to accomplish too much and would be more accessible if split into two separate policies. The revisal process resulted in the following policies:
This is a revision of a previous policy. It went through major revisions to remove items within the scope of gifts, awards, prizes, and incentives. This policy is intended to ensure ISU financial processes are compliant with IRS reporting requirements. It outlines what is allowable when using University funds to provide non-travel meals and other refreshments both on and off campus.
A new policy resulting from ISUPP 2530 deletions. This policy is intended to ensure ISU financial processes are compliant with IRS reporting requirements. It outlines what is allowable when providing gifts, awards, prizes and incentives to both University employees and non-employees. A major policy shift was made in order to remove barriers that have historically existed when providing academic research incentives.
30-Day Review for these policies expires on March 31, 2022.
