New Registration Tools

You may have noticed the new Registration Landing Page in BengalWeb, which provides an updated registration look and feel, as well as additional useful tools. This short demonstration video provides a quick tour.     

While most of the changes are fairly intuitive, some new features are worth pointing out.

• The Plan Ahead option allows you to create a registration plan once the next semester’s schedule is published, but before registration begins. Once registration opens, you can  pull up the plan and quickly add classes from its list. 
• Search results when browsing for classes include clickable links for each class, showing Class Details (bookstore links, course descriptions, waitlist information, co- and pre-reqs, fees, etc.) and Instructor contact information. 
• The main registration page shows not just a search screen, but also your weekly schedule, a summary of what you have already registered for, and the ability to register by CRN, or look up registration plans.

Other options, such as waitlisting, advanced search features, and variable credit courses, are still available, and will function as they have in the past.
