Interim Director of Facilities Operations Appointment

Jeremy Freeman recently made the decision to resign from his position as Director of Facilities Operations with Facilities Services at the conclusion of his FY 22 contract.

Freeman was an important member of the Facilities Services leadership team, providing leadership to all maintenance and operations units since his arrival in January of 2021. He brought an experienced and steady leadership style to the campus community as we all responded to the COVID pandemic. Facilities Services wishes Freeman continued success in his pursuits.

To provide continued, and experienced leadership while a search is planned, Chris Wagner has been named as Interim Director of Facilities Operations. Wagner has been an important member of Facilities Services since his initial appointment in 2000 and has frequently been recognized as an exceptional leader for the campus community while serving as Grounds Manager as part of the Facilities Operations team. He has consistently provided a stable and supportive leadership style that will be important to the campus community and Facilities Operations. Wagner has demonstrated a great commitment to Idaho State University and his willingness to expand his leadership role with the Facilities Services team is deeply appreciated. He will begin his interim appointment as Director of Facilities Operations, overseeing maintenance, grounds, heat plant, and other facilities operations units effective July 25, 2022. Facilities Services plans to announce a search for this position on a non-interim basis during the upcoming academic year.
