Four Features for Moodle 4.0 Part One

Starting Aug.10, Moodle ISU will be upgraded to the new Moodle 4.0. ITRC is doing a four-part series to celebrate this exciting upgrade, featuring four new features in Moodle 4.0. 

Contextual Navigation

In Moodle 4.0, navigation is clearer and more accessible. Courses will make use of redesigned tab menus that simplify course navigation. 

Edit Mode

In Moodle 4.0, editing is much easier. At the top right corner of your Moodle, there is now a toggle to turn editing on from anywhere inside your course. No more scrolling all the way back to the top of your course every time you want to edit!

Dashboard and Timeline

Your Moodle 4.0 dashboard is getting a new look. You will be greeted with a new, modern, redesigned timeline and calendar. Your timeline is now searchable and can be filtered, and the calendar will be on a block directly below your timeline. 

Version History for the Question Bank

Exciting additions have been made to the question bank. One new feature is that you can now view and select different versions of your questions that are in your question bank.
